KLSA will be holding its spring meeting Saturday, May 7th, 10:00 am until noon at the Bobcaygeon Community Centre (Arena), 51 Mansfield Drive Bobcaygeon K0M 1A0.
The theme of the meeting is “Diversity Defines Us” Presentations include:
- “Starry Stonewort: The Invasion of Lake Scugog: History, Status and Update” by Dr. Ron Porter, Chair, Science and Monitoring, Scugog Lake Stewards and
- “ What do you mean? The Land Between” by Ms. Leora Berman, Chief Manager, The Land Between Organization.

Saturday May 7th at 10:00am is the KLSA Spring meeting. Put that date on your calendar and plan on joining us at the Bobcaygeon Community Hall. More details will follow.
You KLSA Board has been busy with meetings at Fleming College Lindsay in late November to review the progress on the project students were working on in the C4P Credit for Product program. The board met again on Feb. 6th to review the annual report progress and plan 2016 activities including the May 7th meeting.
The 2015 Annual Lake Water Quality Report will be published later in April and available at the May 7th meeting. Watch for notice of it here and on the Facebook page.
The Kawartha Lake Stewards Association will be holding its fall annual meeting October 3rd 10:00 am at the Lakehurst Hall – 979 Lakehurst Circle Road. The theme of the meeting is “Trees and Turtles”: Presentations include “Can You Identify a Tree’s Call for Help?” and “Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre -Conservation in Action”. Also, there will be an update on water quality in the Kawartha Lakes and other KLSA activities. All are welcome.
