KLSA’s Spring meeting at the Buckhorn Community Centre was attended by 120 area residents, volunteers, lake water scientists, lake stewards, cottage association reps and area politicians. Featured topics included: KLSA’s lake water report, Dr. Emily Porter-Goff on Algae in the Kawartha Lakes, this summer’s study of shoreline development nutrient inputs, health risks of Blue-Green algae, Natural & Cultural Heritage in the Kawarthas, Lake Management Planning as well as this summer’s testing program.
